Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 275: 4/8/23: Hello Kitty and Friends: Happiness Parade Edition

Apparently I won the Gamestop lottery. Not only are all 3 of the games I ordered complete & in really good condition, but RE4 Remaster is new. As in shrink-wrapped. Wow. They must have a gold star by your name or something. "This guy is a gaming god, take good care of him!"

Excellent.

I'm just over 50% myself and still having a great time with it. There are places all over the map that I can't get to because I lack different abilities. I imagine that will work itself out as I go along, as it has thus far.

Re: The PS2 Backlog Committee Game Club #1 - Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow

Well, first things first: I don't think I played this one either. I think I am thinking of the DS one. So far, three bosses in, it's already way better paced than the previous two, especially Circle of the Moon. I don't like that one. I already like it a lot more than Circle of the Moon, which I ba...

Re: The PS2 Backlog Committee Game Club #1 - Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow

I plan to start it tonight. For the record, I've finished exactly one Castlevania game: Symphony of the Night. That was outstanding. Since then, I've played a couple of others in this style... Dawn of Sorrow on DS and a little bit of Circle of the Moon on Switch... but neither hit me the same way. I...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 275: 4/8/23: Hello Kitty and Friends: Happiness Parade Edition

Old man, I bought Jedi... whatever (my ambivalence for Star Wars could not be any higher at this point) when it was $5 based on people saying it was like baby's first Souls like. But I haven't installed it. Keep me apprised of how you find it. You haven't sold me yet but you haven't dissuaded me ei...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 275: 4/8/23: Hello Kitty and Friends: Happiness Parade Edition

Gamestop started a b2g1 on used games this weekend. I was up late Sat night/Sun morning and decided to look to see if they had the ones I wanted - fully expecting them NOT to - and I was pleasantly surprised to see they did. So I ordered Resident Evil 4 Remake, Dead Space Remake, & Evil West al...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 274: 4/1/23: GrimGrimoire OnceMore Edition

For you DQ heads, I have made it about 20 hours into DQ8 on the 3DS. I always feel underpowered, underleveled, and underprepared for literally everything. DQ11 felt great all the way through and I know I am doing something wrong with DQ8. I am at a part where I just got a boat, I am sailing west to...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 274: 4/1/23: GrimGrimoire OnceMore Edition

I wanted one of those for the reasons that you mentioned, but my doctor said that I couldn’t use one until my incision healed because I couldn’t put so much weight down on my stump while it’s healing. By the time that it heals I’ll have a prosthetic leg/foot, so I won’t have a need for a knee cart....

Man, that sucks. Has anyone suggesting a knee cart? It would be easier to maneuver around the house than a wheelchair but sturdier and safer than a walker.
