The Backlog Check-in Vol. 38: 9/22/18: Valkyria Chronicles 4 Edition

I can't believe this is coming out this week.

I also can't believe I'm not getting it on day one, since VC is one of my favorite PS3 games.

But, as with DQXI, I just don't have much time for console gaming these days, and RDR2 looms LARGE on the horizon.

Played last week: Stardew Valley

Finished: nothing

Added to backlog: nothing

Current backlog: 35 (13 PS4, 9 Vita, 6 3DS/2DS, 5 PS2)

I'm in the second year of Stardew, still can't put it down.

Finished: Nothing

Now Playing: Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Added to Backlog: Nothing

Current Backlog: 30 games

I can't believe I'm already 50 hours into DQ XI...who knows how long I'll be playing this game! Probably around 100 hours, but we'll see.

And cane, speaking of Red Dead Redemption 2, they just released some stuff about the wildlife today. Also included was this nice fishing screenshot:

I posted this in the wrong thread the other day...

Games added: Yokus: Island Express

Last week: Finished Spider-Man, played Dragon Quest XI, Shadow of War

This week: Same

I've really been enjoying SoW, it's been the kind of pick up & play game I've needed lately. I have put a little more time into DQXI and it's fantastic, but it's more of a time investment.

Also, now that I've actually started paying attention to RDR2 I'm starting to really get excited for it. I won $25 in a raffle here at work, so I'm gonna swing by GS sometime this week & add that to my preorder payment. :)

Still really enjoying Yakuza 0, although I sometimes end up firing up Rocket League and lose a few hours that I didn't really intend to spend on that, lol. Just started the Majima storyline - he's a smooth customer.

Some of my most anticipated games of the year (Dragon Quest XI, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Spider-Man, Valkyria Chronicles 4) have come out recently, but they're all going to have to wait because Red Dead Redemption 2 is the gaming event of the year and it will be here soon.

You and me both. Someone please put me in cryogenic sleep until October 26. Thanks.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting this character even in a quirky Japanese game. He's something else. You do you Mr. Libido. :P

Thanks! Big 5-5. I had a nice weekend of celebration, including a good time in Tucson yesterday.
