It comes out tomorrow, but it’s digital only for PS4. It’s also $50 which is more than I was expecting it to be, I thought that it was going to be $30-$40 since it’s an indie game. I’m going to wait to get it when it’s on sale for $30, or less.

Re: The Uglification of Female Characters in Western Developed Video Games

You're not wrong, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it stopping anytime soon. It possibly could due to all of the pushback that it’s been receiving lately, because gamers are fed up with it at this point and will vote with their wallets. If games with attractive female characters like Stellar Blade ...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 328: 4/13/24: No Rest for the Wicked Edition

I fired up Resident Evil 3 (the original PS1 entry). I hadn't played a game in the classic formula in years, and I was in the mood. Still a great game, even if it's showing its age a bit. If you’re interested in playing a new old style Resident Evil type game then I would recommend Alisa. https://m...

I started playing Raging Bytes, it’s a 2D top down view pixel art zombie apocalypse game with 3D turn-based combat. It has a retro style charm to it.

Re: The Uglification of Female Characters in Western Developed Video Games

This shit has got to stop, it’s gotten out of hand at this point. Now even female cartoon characters are being made androgynous, frumpy and unattractive looking because of the current DEI bullshit being forced into everything these days. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sM7nmFMTuZw&pp=ygUKcG9rZW1vb...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 328: 4/13/24: No Rest for the Wicked Edition

I finished Avengers, it was a decent third person action beat ‘em up platformer that could have been better if they focused on the single player experience instead of on the co-op/multiplayer live service stuff. The single player story campaign feels a little half-baked, but it offers a decent amoun...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 328: 4/13/24: No Rest for the Wicked Edition

I quit playing Dragon Quest Heroes II despite liking it because they start making you fight two tough bosses in a row, and if you die on the second one then you have to fight the first one all over again. No thanks. I’ve been playing Avengers, and enjoying it for the most part. It’s a decent third p...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 328: 4/13/24: No Rest for the Wicked Edition

I am not sure how much longer I will be a PlayStation owner. I am absolutely livid right now. I had to switch Internet carriers because a very long story. The only device that refuses to work is my PS4. It connects to the Internet but it does not let me log into PSN. Therefore, I can't access my li...
