Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 330: 4/27/24: Endless Ocean Luminous Edition

Playing: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands How are you liking that? I loved Borderlands 1 and 2 but never finished 3... something about it didn't click (maybe the terrible UI/menus?). I really liked Borderlands 1, 2 and The Pre-Sequel, but I didn’t like 3 as much because the story and characters were mid, th...

Dragon's Dogma 2 was good, but it could have been great. The gameplay was very fun, the world was big and mostly interesting - but they didn't give you a lot of compelling reasons to explore other than "I haven't been there yet". I always felt that there weren't enough sidequests. It coul...

Phase, please tell me in your own words what DEI is. You keep using this term and I am convinced you have no idea what it means. Please stop falling for the grift. Perhaps you’re right, my understanding of it is that it’s a push for marginalized groups to be represented more. Of course that’s not a...

I dislike when localizers change dialogue in western versions of Japanese games to make them more “Americanized”.

It comes out tomorrow, but it’s digital only for PS4. It’s also $50 which is more than I was expecting it to be, I thought that it was going to be $30-$40 since it’s an indie game. I’m going to wait to get it when it’s on sale for $30, or less.

Perhaps it won’t, but the pushback that it’s been receiving could lessen it.

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 328: 4/13/24: No Rest for the Wicked Edition

I fired up Resident Evil 3 (the original PS1 entry). I hadn't played a game in the classic formula in years, and I was in the mood. Still a great game, even if it's showing its age a bit. If you’re interested in playing a new old style Resident Evil type game then I would recommend Alisa. https://m...

I started playing Raging Bytes, it’s a 2D top down view pixel art zombie apocalypse game with 3D turn-based combat. It has a retro style charm to it.
