Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 10: 3/10/18: March Madness Edition

Maybe play something that's really off the beaten path. I don't remember if you game on PC or not. Maybe play something outside your normal interests or something on a dead platform that you never experienced. Maybe experiment a little. I only game on Xbox 360 and PS4 which offer me more than enoug...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 10: 3/10/18: March Madness Edition

I've played some big games this year that were fresh experiences that blew me away (Horizon, Witcher 3) but I'm doubtful anything else in the backlog will hit me that way. I really enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn, but it didn't feel that fresh to me. It's basically the same formula as Ubisoft open world ...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 10: 3/10/18: March Madness Edition

I'm currently playing a broken quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and apparently it's game breaking. The game was released unfinished, and while I can excuse a lot of bugs and jank I can't excuse broken quests and game breaking stuff that prevents me from proceeding further in the game. There's a l...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 8: 2/24/18: Vacation Edition

Sorry, it didn't live up to your expectation/hopes phase. I still want to play it sooner or later, but I'm in no hurry. Yeah, it turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment. It starts out strong, but then kind of just fizzles with all of the mundane investigations and tasks that you have to do. I...

The Backlog Check-in Vol. 8: 2/24/18: Vacation Edition

Played: Kingdom Come: Deliverance Finished: Nothing Playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance I guess that if I don't make the backlog check-in thread then no one will. :P It's a few days late, but there doesn't appear to be anyone here to notice. I made it the vacation edition since cane and j are ...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 7: 2/17/18: Metal Gear Survive/Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Edition

Tam & I hit the point in Monster Hunter tonight where the game "really starts". :P It's a massive game, packed full of content. Always seems to be something new to do, discover, etc. Do you still feel that it can only really be enjoyed as a co-op/multiplayer game, or could it be fun a...

The Backlog Check-in Vol. 7: 2/17/18: Metal Gear Survive/Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Edition

Played: Kingdom Come: Deliverance Finished: Nothing Playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance Purchased: Kingdom Come: Deliverance Kingdom Come: Deliverance really has its hooks in me, it's definitely a hardcore RPG. The prologue took me five hours, and was really good. After that the game really opens up...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 6: 2/10/18: Kingdom Come: Deliverance Edition

I played more Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and I'm enjoying my time with it. The prologue took me five hours to get through, and was really good. The prologue is somewhat linear, and what you play before the game lets you out into the open world. The story and characters are really good, and the world...
