Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 279: 5/6/23: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition

Yo. I am done Cosmic Star Heroine. It soft locked on me twice. Once it let me in a building that I wasn't supposed to go in yet (I didn't know that) then the door wouldn't open to let me leave. Fine, reload start over. Get back where I was, avoid building. Now I am stuck near a fountain because the ...

Re: The Haul Thread 2023

Wait, they sell a whole ass new Zelda game themed Switch... without the game? Do they give you a voucher for it to download or something? They have to, they at least do that much in those ridiculous special edition games that include everything but the disc version of the game. I guess Nintendo alwa...

Played: Huntdown, SF6 demo, Aria of Sorrow, Cosmic Star Heroine Beat: Aria (go game club!) Bought: Mr Driller Drilland, Salt and Sanctuary and... Assassin's Creed Valhalla Complete Edition. I am strangely nostalgic for the RPG AC games after playing Aria. They scratch the exact same itch for me. I l...

Re: The PS2 Backlog Committee Game Club #1 - Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow

Oh, I think that those hanging rooms at the top of the map are the key. I just tried backtracking to find the clock tower entrance to help you. The clock tower (where you need to go to fight Death and get the underwater thing to get through to the next area) is off the second hanging room from the r...

Oh, I am coming knives out for Lost Judgement j...but the Kaito Files 8-) . Let's see where that ends up. Ummm...I might have to buy SF6. Alpha 3 was my JAM in college (and my favorite SF) because world tour mode and Def Jam FFNY is in serious contention for my personal greatest game ever made...and...

Re: The PS2 Backlog Committee Game Club #1 - Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow

Not to be a dick, but what necessary souls are random drops? The only ones that have been vital for exploration have been things I got from bosses. Like double jumps, anything to do with water, etc. I had to stumble around a bunch too because I never know where I'm supposed to go next because I just...

Re: The PS2 Backlog Committee Game Club #1 - Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow

Yeah, Undine is the water walking one I think. I beat Death with copious use of the rewind function. Abuse it old man, it's a godsend! I have the water walking one and the underwater one. I guess some kind of limited flight might end up as a soul next? I might go for broke and finish it this weekend...

Protip argyle: tax extensions to October exist. I only know or care about this because my self employed wife keeps having to apply for them because she too hates doing taxes. Otherwise, mine are mad easy because I'm just a teacher. Just saying... Played: Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, Sackboy, TMNT IV ...
