Phaseknox’s Top 10 Games of 2022

The following are the 10 best games that I played and finished this year (2022): 10) Tormented Souls This is one of the better classic style survival horror games that I’ve played. It’s most similar to the original Resident Evil with a creepy mansion setting, methodical gameplay/combat and key item ...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 259: 12/17/22: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth Edition

I really dug Guacamelee as well. I quit playing it. :P Part of the problem is that playing as Tostada is strictly cosmetic as the story and characters still acknowledge the character as Juan. It was off-putting playing as Tostada, but the game still treating me as if I was playing as Juan. And whil...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 259: 12/17/22: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth Edition

Scarlet Nexus is really hitting the spot in the times I get to play it. I enjoyed that game for the most part, but it kind of falls off the rails near the end and some of the bosses are frustratingly difficult. I rage quit on a boss close to the end. I’ll be curious to hear what you think when you ...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 259: 12/17/22: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth Edition

I had to stop playing Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards despite enjoying it, because there’s a glitch with the controls. The right analog stick is used to dodge roll in the direction that you press, but when I press it the character starts rolling continuously uncontrollably and doesn’t stop until I hol...

The Backlog Check-in Vol. 259: 12/17/22: Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth Edition

Played: Roki Finished: Roki Playing: Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards Added: Nothing I started playing Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards, and since it’s $10 I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it is. I don’t know why it’s being sold for so cheap, because it’s actually a fairly quality game from a produ...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 258: 12/10/22: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion/River City Girls 2 Edition

I finished Roki, it was one of the better point-and-click adventure puzzle games that I’ve played in a while because the puzzles were actually logical and made sense. I did get stumped a few times, but not too often. I figured out almost all of the puzzles on my own, there were only a few that I loo...

Re: The Backlog Check-in Vol. 258: 12/10/22: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion/River City Girls 2 Edition

I've heard it's a simple old-school platformer with some charm, thought I'd check it out since it's on sale. It just struck me as funny because out of all of the games currently on sale you chose that one. But I didn’t know that it was a 2D platformer, I thought that it was a baking sim or somethin...
