Wow lol... I know Phase gonna Phase, but this still surprises me. That game has such a robust world with enormous variety of things to do and see, I thought you'd love it when you finally got to it. Ah well!

Played recently: Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse

Finished: nothing

Added to backlog: nothing

Current backlog: 36 (14 PS4, 9 Vita, 7 3DS/2DS, 5 PS2)

I'm wrapping up odds and ends in the postgame of DQXI and have gotten pretty close to the platinum. The one thing that might stand in my way is the casino trophy...

j, you did all that, right? I've gotten the jackpot (twice) so I'm pretty sure the monetary ones have been met. Is the other stuff a pain? Is there a way to track what you've done?

Man...Injustice is fugly. They also do an awful job preparing you in the tutorial. They don't show you how to do the special moves the right way. We won't even talk about how Wonder Woman looks...yikes. But it's relatively short and pretty dang 'ight in the story department. I will get through it (I gotta be about halfway through after about 2 or so hours) then dump it and move on to Injustice 2. I was always curious about this game and it's got a weird charm...I hope part 2 kick it up a bit in the tutorial because there is some fun to be had here, I like some of the stuff they pull with the background. Just don't look it for very long...poor, poor Wonder Woman...

I thought it was decent, but yeah it wasn't a looker imo either. Some of the stage-specific combat was pretty cool. I did have a hard time adjusting to not-Mark Hamill as the Joker. He's just so good in that role.

Yeah izzy, the background stuff is really fun in these games. Those and the supers are really entertaining to pull off. I didn't find the Mark Hamill replacement too jarring but I have been watching DC animated flicks for years so I'm used to people impersonating him poorly  .

I started Injustice 2 last night. I really, really don't like the input and combo system in these games. I understand they want easy inputs but the pace at which they want them for heat of the moment combat is too much for me. I am probably just too old and to set in my Capcom fighter style :P. They also went a weird way with the art style. It's still not...good. They took a hard turn from what they did in the first game where they way overdid the muscles and general structure (oh dear god, poor Wonder Woman) and made everyone look relatively athletic and lean but now there's no comics style at all. It's this weird hybrid of MK and Arkham and it's just...blah.

...but Ninja Turtles! All of them! And Hellboy! And an arcade mode (they make you dig for...weird)! Grodd, goshdang goofy ass Gorilla Grodd! And this parts system seems cool, I can see this being why they chose basic designs since you're supposed to add all these costume parts to the characters. Plus the multiverse thing seems like that path thing you could play in Soul Calibur or World Tour in SFA3 so there's incentives to keep playing and actually build your characters. I wish I could get into the combo system more but I might spend time ducking in and out of this one especially since the multiverse thing is randomized daily from what I can tell. I assume the story is still fairly short but the last one was dang entertaining so I look forward to this overtly dark take on DC.

I have it for Xbox 360, but I haven't played it yet.

I expected to love it too when I finally got to it, but I explained why it wasn't completely clicking with me. I also stated that I rage quit it because I was continuing to die in a certain area, and was tired of sitting through ridiculously long load times each and every time. But I also said that I was going to give it another chance since I was somewhat enjoying it, especially the story and characters. I haven't yet because I've been playing Rage 2, but I think that I'm going to soon because the gameplay loop in Rage 2 is starting to become somewhat repetitive.

Yep, I did 10 of those accolades though I don't remember which specific ones. Just playing the games enough should get you the 10.
