Gameplay including combat could have definitely been better, but the presentation was really nice like you said and I liked the story and characters as well. I was a little disappointed with it when it originally came out because I was expecting it to be more of an action platformer similar to Soul Reaver, but playing it again more recently I enjoyed it more for what it is which is a somewhat slow paced adventure game. Back in the PS2/GameCube/Xbox generation action platformers were some of my favorite types of games, but I’ve come to appreciate slower paced adventure games more over the years.
