Well, from my seat in the arena of life, that seems like a very healthy outlook that I'm sure will/has serve(d) you well.canedaddy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 8:21 am No doubt. I am VERY aware and appreciative of how blessed I am. I try to never take any of it for granted, since I know very well how bad things are for so many others and how quickly everything can go away. The "worst case scenario" of my situation is what 99% of the world wishes for.

Gaming wise, what the heck. Nobody's playing much of anything? Ha
I've been really enjoying Halls of Torment. It's not very challenging, but it's a cathartic power fantasy where you watch the hordes go boom and the numbers go up. I've already put 20 hours in it roughly. It's got a smidgen of depth in terms of meta progression with permanent loot you can acquire to change your load-out with whatever character you're making your run, but in the end, it's pretty much the same from run to run, visual spectacle and modifiers aside. But the fact that I still find it fun despite the fairly repetitive foundation speaks to the way it hits (for me). It's not an all-time classic or anything, but it has been good fun.
I'm also working on the climax of Morrowind. I'm not sure how long this multi-tiered quest will last, but it's apparent that I'm on my way home with this one. Whether I start up a new character or maybe even continue with this one post-game (if that's possible?) remains to be seen. I've really enjoyed it, but *boy* does it have some clunkiness in some aspects.
