Games added: Hello Kitty Island Adventure (switch) (don't judge me!), System of Souls (ps5), Shinobi (switch), 7 Years of Shadows (switch), Atelier Ryza DX Trilogy (ps5), Shadow of Rome (PS2!!! )

Last week: Finished Clover Pit (good ending), played HKIA & started the first Atelier Ryza (but haven't gotten far yet)

This week: So far, mainly HKIA & the occasional Clover Pit round to do some of the extra stuff (and get my daily MS points :P )

Have I talked about Clover Pit? It's basically Balatro meets Inscription, and it's really good. It's a slot machine rogue like w/ some interesting meta stuff surrounding it. Whole game is a commentary on gambling (spoiler: it ain't good). Fun time if you like this sort of rogue-lites or either of the 2 games I mentioned.

HKIA was more or less my only Black Friday purchase (I also grabbed some stuff from a local mom & pop used game/retro toy/music/movie store, but that was from trade-in credit so not really a purchase per se). I got it mainly for the humor of it at first - for anyone that doesn't know, it's an old South Park reference from the World of Warcraft episode, and the developer was apparently inspired by their joke to make the actual game. It's surprisingly good though. Very mellow, as one would expect, but it's more-or-less Animal Crossing w/ Hello Kitty characters.

I grabbed Shadow of Rome from that mom & pop store I mentioned, it's basically mint. I played it back in the day (it's a Capcom joint), but I don't remember ever finishing it. I know I enjoyed what I played though, so I'd like to play it again sooner rather than later. Just gotta get my PS3 hooked back up.

became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the
desire to be very grown up.” ― C.S. Lewis

Hey all!

Played: Bakeru ( I REALLY like this now...weird because straight platformers that aren't Sonic or Kirby kinda wash over me after a few hours. But I feel like finishing this one. I even found one of the collectibles fun to search for).

Beat: Nothing

Bought: Nothing (these sales are very overwhelming now, it's a chore to sift through and then I get analysis paralysis so I opted out this time. Felt pretty good :). Will try during the winter sale probably )

Bakeru is hitting right now. Going to see it through at this point. Gotta be more than halfway done. It's very pick up and play. Good stuff from a genre I genre don't care about!
