Even if you have Marvel fatigue - and I definitely do - this is a great series that has its own vibe and stands on its own. Another high recommendation! 5/5 stars

Lmao, that's what I was thinking. I don't know if cane chose his example specifically for the ridiculous nature of it or not, but trying to imagine phase - a guy who can't/couldn't stand any degree of repetition or even mild frustration - embracing golf as his new identity is quite the vision! I'm sure he'd stick with it over the long haul, ha! I can only imagine the results.
Hey all, busy summer. HOWEVER, I have news on a moment. So my wife was at the NAACP conference the week before last. Came home for a for days last week and we went to Sesame Place for a one of the little one's bday on Sunday (oh, happy belated birthday argyle!). Then she went to Ghana on Tuesday and will be back next Tuesday before going to Mississippi next Wednesday. Oh and our 9th anniversary was Wednesday (Ghana was her gift essentially since I am holding down the household. So not a lot of posting or checking in. HOWEVER...
Played AND finished with a platinum trophy: Spiderman 2. Loved it. Probably third best in the series. Miles, part 1 then 2. Miles was really tight aside from that ridiculous final boss fight. Peter was VERY whiny but it was a lot happening in a short period of time and he was on edge pretty much the whole game so I let it slide. Harry has a very punchable face so what happened at the end just did my heart good. Miles was fine but I loved the bit with him and negative. That hideous final suit...what the entire **** was that? Venom was...ok, part of the issue is I just rarely give a damn about Venom. Swole photo negative Spiderman has never really spoken to me. So building to that I am surprised how well they kept my interest. I don't know how or why Kraven and his whole operation exists at all but I did enjoy them as antagonists. I really liked that Pete's villains were actually trying to reform and circumstances just kept getting in the way. MJ.. why the **** can't MJ just be ****ing MJ anymore? Supermodel actress who will beat the brakes off you if you mess with Peter. She's a great grounding force who has a whole life outside of Pete and they made her Lois Lane? Whatever.
Besides that, Insomniac did great work because I played it in drips and drabs and it was paced really well that I could do a 15 minute or 2 hour session and always feel like I accomplished something. Good stuff. Not as tight as Miles but the scope was way larger. And that platinum was fun! After this, I feel like my old gaming self is creeping back in!
I don't want to buy anything because I have so much an Ps Plus to abuse so next up is the really, really short Gitaroo Man and then Pirate Yakuza. Still might sneak in that FF7 Yuffie DLC at the end of the summer so I can start Rebirth and make that the game I play through the end of the year.
Question for all of you: I put my PS4 in the kiddo's room. She has been messing around in Sackboy and Capcom fighting collections. She would be interested in a turn based RPG but what's an actual good series of starter RPGs. It's not turn based but it is easy to know where to go so I was thinking Trials of Mana. She doesn't want Kingdom Hearts (boo!) but since Chronic Trigger isn't on PS4, I am not sure what to do that's introductory. DQ11? Any suggestions would be great friends!
Oh, I have a movie to review: Obsession. This was outright one of the most unsettling movies I've ever seen and I am impressed it only cost $750k. The female lead NEEDS more movies, she was goddamn GREAT! I can't wait to see what she does next. If you don't know, it's about what happens when a dude wishes his crush loved him. What happens is exactly why the genie does not fulfill the wish of making someone fall in love. If you dig horror, definitely watch if you have not already.
Thanks for the movie reviews, argyle. I'll check out "Spider Noir" the next time I have Prime (probably when the NFL forces me to get it to watch the Ravens ).

The first thing that came to mind is Costume Quest.
After that, maybe the DQ I&II and DQ III 2D-HD remakes to get her on the path of the best turn-based RPG series? Though they are as traditional as it gets, so not sure how a kid would react.
