Any chance we can get our old smilies/emoticons on here? Gotta have j's machine, my old man in wheel chair, Kratos shaking his fist, etc.

I started playing Agents of Mayhem, and I don't really know what to think of it so far. I haven't played too much of it yet, but I'm not sure that it's what I'm in the mood for right now. Based on what I played of it, it's a pure arcade-y action run-and-gun game that takes place in a futuristic open city. I find the action to be a little too chaotic, and fast paced. It sort of seems like Saints Row on speed, it also has elements of Crackdown which I admit was a game that I wasn't very fond of. Also, I'm not sure if the Saturday morning cartoon with f-bombs approach to storytelling really appeals to me. Everything about it is cartoonish, comical and silly. But it seems like it can be fun, so I'm going to stick with it a little longer to see if it grabs me.

I got a Facebook message from jfissel where he asked what had happened to the board. I told him the old link should work, not sure why it didn't for him. Is there a way you can direct j and izzy here via the old board?

Just ask them to try again by going to http://ps2backlog.com/ and not a book mark they have . Also make sure they know that their logins will have to be recreated.

I'm here!

I wasn't using the base URL, so it obviously wouldn't connect or tell me anything new.

I played more Agents of Mayhem, and my initial opinion hasn't changed. In fact, it's actually worse. Despite the game's good graphics, decent gameplay and relative polish, it seems like a somewhat lower budget game that would have originally released for $19.99-$39.99. It's a chaotic, juvenile, repetitive and shallow third person shooter that takes place in an open city, and sometimes in same-y looking indoor areas as well.

The core gameplay is running and gunning onslaughts of enemies, and that's basically it. It's a chaotic mess because enemies are everywhere shooting at you from all different directions, and you can't keep track of where all of the attacks are coming from. And the enemies just seem to keep coming no matter how many that you kill, it's ridiculous.

Each agent that you play has a couple of special attacks that can wipe out big groups of enemies when their mayhem meters fill, but even after killing waves of enemies my meters weren't filled and I couldn't use my special attacks. I don't know why.

Despite my complaints, there's still some charm to the game so I will probably give it another chance in the future. But as of right now, I'm glad that I only paid $9.99 for it.

Wow, I thought this board had the plug pulled for good. I just randomly checked back in, assuming to find a dead link. Well, that's nice. Although it stinks to lose our old posts. Board looks better than the old one though.

I thought this board was dead and buried. I randomly checked again, expecting to find a dead link, but here we are. Board looks better too.

Edit: Oops, I posted the same info twice. I guess I didn't notice the message about post approval.
