Who pissed in your Haterade, argyle ?

FFT I have been waiting for since some leak in 2020 or 2021. I think that's where FF9 was too. I remember not thinking much of the leak because it mentioned KH4 ... And then they announced KH4 . So I have been patiently awaiting any news of FFT. To be getting a classic AND remastered version in September?...I can like live off half pension and do early retirement right? My wife would understand, wouldn't she?

As for Marvel. It's from Arc System Works. Iron Man is essentially a goddamn Gundam. Storm is...goddamn THAT is Otoro Munroe, they went OFF on that design! It's also a 4v4 tag fighter. Which is just...I can't wait to see what this does to the game and how cool it's going to be when fgc real players tear into it. Arc makes such competent, playable, gorgeous games too. This isn't Marvel Nemesis Rise of the Imperfects or X-Men Mutant Academy or some Champions mobile nonsense. I am genuinely excited to see how they pull this off. Vs Capcom will come later. Let's see what someone else who is competent with fighting games can do.

I didn't realize I was hating - lol, go back & read the first page and tell me who all is hating and on what. Go on, I'll wait.

I'm excited about FFT as well, was just saying that it wasn't exactly a huge surprise. Maybe I will actually play all the way through the game this time?

I have no opinion on the Marvel thingy, since it's a fighter and I don't really care much about them one way or the other. I just thought it was odd, doubly so for Sony to get involved in & lock down to the PS5. *shrug*

Oh oh, it's me! Because I do hate me some Nintendo !

I was just joshing and didn't elaborate on my excitement for those two things in particular. And you WILL finish Tactics this time...you know because it won't be a confusing, contradictory, poorly translated mess . It's one of my favorite FF anything ever. Might be the favorite...OH MY GOD, I CAN ADD IT TO MY FF SERIES PLAYTHROUGH ON MY STEAM DECK !!!! This just got even better.

But getting back to the Nintendo hate... seriously, it's not just them. I still don't have a PS5 and am grabbing the Astro Bot bundle this month only because I am scared the tariffs will make it more expensive later. It's a bad look for any consoles that this far in they haven't built enough of a library that makes me feel like I need one. And Nintendo is starting with nearly nothing just like Sony and Microsoft did. I almost just want to buy a dock for my Steam Deck and make it my primary console. I don't understand how they are planning to keep this hobby going with home consoles contributing so little. It's a poor showing for all of them and I hope they get it together eventually. Playing old stuff with a couple more shaders at the same price or more on a $400+ console is not cool. At all.

After that whole ass screed (I still stand by), RGG drops this. I am here for whatever they cook. I am even going to get Virtua Fighter because of them and that is decidedly not my flavor of fighting game. I am a sucker for that music choice already!

I get it. I hate what Sony's become not just because of their greedy practices but mainly because they killed almost all of their truly unique first party devs like Studio Japan in favor of going all-in on "cinematic" cookie cutter games. The only upcoming release of theirs I have any real interest in is the Ghost of Tsushima sequel, and I'll have to wait 2-3 years for them to port that to the PC because I am not re-buying a PS5. It's not like I'm happy with everything Nintendo's doing either ($80 games ain't happening for me, and that game key BS is very lame & I hope it dies an early death) but their 1st party output is still killer IMO and I mainly got the thing to enhance the massive Switch library I currently own.

Now THAT looks amazing. The Japanese studios are the only AAA devs putting out anything worth looking at these days IMO. I was also very impressed this week by these:





Capcom is still the GOAT in my book - all these years later and they're still killin' it.

Even if it's not your cup of tea, I would think all the wacky customization would be up your alley. Granted, it definitely has a different feel than *any* other fighter, but for those whom it clicks, it's easily the best of them all.

This is the first time I've felt genuinely excited for a new Silent Hill in so long. Looks phenomenal to me as well!
