I thought that said "Palmetto Bugs" at first. Just experienced a couple of those when I was in North Carolina. Brought back memories of Florida. ("Breeze" is much better. :P )

Ha, yeah, the South in general can get pretty buggy.

The final team in the Revolution/Colonial division is:

The Georgia Peach Thrashers

I knew I wanted to include peaches here, but I also liked using the state bird, the brown thrasher. This ended up being one of the more silly and playful names/images I think. And for some reason I keep forgetting to include some aspects of team identity and culture that I'm imagining with these squads, but with this team I imagine a tradition where fans lovingly pelt home players with soft, fresh peaches for big plays and significant moments. There are so many of these little elements that help make up and flesh out team identities, and I guess it will mostly remain in my head, lol.

That peach/baseball hybrid just looked adorably stupid, unreasonably enthusiastic, and maaayyybe slightly retarded to me, and I had to use it, lol.

Just the state outline with lettering and a simple peach.

That "peachball" that opposing fans will surely want to punch! :P I'm sure he's a wandering mascot around the stadium and part of promotional events!

So that wraps up the Revolution/Colonial - sheesh, I've barely begun. SOOO many teams, ha.

So here's the five that will battle it out each year in hopes of playoff qualification:

Well, I was at risk of forgetting to continue on with this thing altogether. So before it lapses entirely, I'll being sharing the final division in the Revolution...The Plymouth.

First up is the Tennessee Spelunkers

I chose this name because it's the state with the most caves/cave area, and one of the nicknames is the "Underground State". I've been in quite a few Tennessee caves and they're always exciting and a little spooky.

First, I chose a Raccoon as a mascot since it's the state animal and thought it would be a fun image to incorporate. I thought about using a mole, which would have been appropriate, but Raccoons are far more appealing visually and in terms of personality imho. As for the badge slogan, I realize you're not necessarily digging while caving...hopefully, lol. But I liked the common sports phrasing and it worked in conjunction with the idea of deep underground caves, "digging" notwithstanding. And they surely did dig deep in their first season. They were the 5 seed in the Revolution but made it all the way to the Victor's Crown series while beating the team with the overall best record in the USBL, the West Virginia Hypernova along the way. In the Championship series, they were down 3 games to 2, and Wisconsin had the Championship winning run on the way home from third in the bottom of the 9th, but the Spelunkers center fielder launched a laser-guided missile, nailing the runner at home and they eventually won game 6 in extras, forcing a game 7. They ultimately didn't prevail, but they had an incredible season and an incredibly exciting series in the final.

Just the lettering and that mischievous Raccoon.

Next up in the Revolution / Plymouth is:

The Kentucky Thoroughbreds

I wanted to reference what is essentially the capital of horse racing in the world, or just horses in general. I also wanted to have a horse-themed team, given the vital role equestrian / human interaction has had in the shaping of our world. I also liked using the colors of blue and white, with blue being a secondary reference to "bluegrass" music - another famous Kentucky export, and white being a sort of "upper crust" social class reference, given the crowd that comprises this culture. It's also the colors of Kentucky's most famous sports team - the college hoops Wildcats, although I made no effort to use the exact color codes for their blue, if I'm remembering correctly.
