Games added: Nothing.

Last week: Finished nothing, played Balatro.

This week: Same?

There's only one thing I want to play right now, and it comes out NEXT Friday (the 21st) so in the meantime I'm just playing Balatro. The creator said he was heavily inspired by Solitaire, and I get it - it has that same "this is something to do that's still pretty close to doing nothing" feel to it. :P I don't really mean that as an insult, it's just that time of time-waster game. I just don't want to start anything new right now with Xenoblade X so close, and every time I think about booting up & finishing Cyberpunk, I just don't want to.

I may find something short that I can play some this week & next, we'll see.

What is Xenoblade X?

I'm so out of it.

I've had the death flu/man cold from hell since Thursday. Never slept so much in my life. Starting to feel better today.

Played recently: Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, GTA San Andreas

Finished: DQ8

Added to backlog: nothing

Current backlog: 45

I'm having a great time with the homies in Los Santos. First time I've played one of the old GTA games and not been put off by the controls... probably because I came in straight from playing DQ8, which also has old school controls. Probably going for the plat... piece of cake compared to %100wned. :P

Xenoblade Chronicles X - they are porting/remastering it for the Switch, it was originally a Wii U release. I never played it on the Wii U because, well frankly I hate the Wii U. I hate the hassle of that touchscreen controller. But I've heard nothing but good things about the game, and so I've been wanting to play it for a while now. I figured they would port it sooner or later, so here it is. :)

Man, I LOVE the Wii U. I still have to get around to XCX, well, and all the other ones, lol.

Hope you're gonna make it cane! Being sick is awful! I slipped on ice about a week ago, and I'm still in consistent pain. I feel like I may have fractured (or seriously bruised) my tail bone. There was a light dusting of snow that concealed a VERY smooth ice patch that I stepped on while moving fairly quickly when I was out, and I was on the ground before I even knew what happened. I laid there moaning for several minutes before I could even get up. I wasn't moving cautiously as I thought I was on a safe place, but I was oh so wrong. I didn't even have time to engage in any reaction to cushion my fall. It was whatever instinct automatically took over, but there was not time for any protection and I SLAMMED into the ground rapidly and violently and right on my backside. It's awkward to just sit, which is no fun at all. I'll give it another week or so and hope it improves before considering getting it checked out.

************

I've only played OOTP baseball all week. Finally started up the first season, and man do I have some WORK to do, lol. What a mess! But that will only make the mountain top even sweeter!

That sounds like an argyle dream-come-true. Enjoy!

Speaking of Wii U... is the Windwaker remake still stuck on that thing? I wish Nintendo would be more like a normal company and, you know, sell their old games at a reasonable price on their current hardware.

Thanks! I'm feeling pretty good today. Still coughing up junk, but my head isn't foggy.

Sorry about your pain... no bueno. I had a similar injury when I slipped on a muddy hill while fishing. Very jarring and nasty.

Yeah, it is - probably the last game of note still stuck on it. I imagine it will get ported eventually. Irritated that I traded off my GC copy - but don't tell Tam, every time I say I regret getting rid of a game she fusses at me "I always tell you not to get rid of stuff you'll regret later..." :P

And re: our collective aches & pains - we are all truly getting old. We need to work on joint booking a retirement home in a few years. :P

Right?

It will start decent enough. We'll get to know each other outside the forum context while realizing we all look weird relative to expectations. (Although I remember you showing yourself once argyle, don't I? I have a vague recollection of your appearance.) After we adapt to that shock, we'll chat about and play games (with our arthritic hands) while bemoaning the condition of the hobby we once loved. And gradually, we'll slowly stop recognizing one another, forget what games even are, stare blankly at the endlessly running tv in the corner while drooling on ourselves, being abused at night by sadistic orderlies and enjoying the yearly visit of our loved ones who come in once a year out of obligation as they try to avoid facing their own impending and similar mortality. Good times! :P

Forgot to post earlier this week.
