Also, I don't remember if anyone else backed the Playstation 2 Anthology books on Kickstarter back like nearly 2 years ago:
...but mine just arrived! And it's heavy AF - the shipping box says 14.5 lbs but it has to be more than that. Seems to be very high quality with the paper, printing and materials. Don't know when I'll get a chance to dive in, but I'll try to post some pictures soon. Also says 947 backers but they printed 1050, so maybe there are extras for sale somewhere?
Edit: I looked back at the posts we had about it in Jan 2024 and izzy said he was intrigued (but didn't back it).

Well that looks awesome! Did you buy it as a Christmas present for some old guy from a message board?

Yes, this is shameful. Hopefully I'll play something during my week off for the holidays.

I finally started up Dragon Quest VIII. It has lived in my awareness as some mystically great experience over the years. Comically enough, I played XI before ever getting around to it, so some of the mystery regarding the series is surely gone, but I'm still excited, especially given how much I loved XI. I only just began, but the potential for some excellent stuff is already evident. The contrast between Yangus and Trode (hope I'm remembering right) is already delicious. Brutish every-man Yangus trying to interact/relate with the royal Trode who, unfortunately for him, seems to be missing his familiar regal nature, lol. This could be wonderful! So much charm already in the little taste I've had. I surely won't finish in 2025, so it'll have to fall to my 2026.

Oh yes! I remember that very well, and was very interested. Please do post some pics / share info whenever you get some free time. I'd love to see it!
