I'm hearing good things about the Silent Hill 2 remake, but I'll be waiting for a much cheaper price. I'm also really looking forward to playing Metaphor, eventually - in the middle of Infinite Wealth right now, and have some other stuff that I'd like to get to after that, so we'll see - might wait until the inevitable .5 edition the Persona team always likes to release with minor fixes & a ton more content.

Games added: Nothing

Last week: Finished nothing, played Infinite Wealth

This week: Same

Infinite Wealth is crazy addictive. The first LaD was awesome, so I really wasn't expecting this big of a jump, but the things they added such as the expanded Sujimon stuff and the social media stuff are very fun and just add a ton of depth - and I haven't even gotten to the Animal Crossing knock-off stuff yet! The map is way bigger too, but that would be pointless if it was just empty space for the sake of saying it was bigger - that's definitely not what it is, the game feels incredibly dense. Definitely on track to be my GOTY. Oh yeah, I'm in chapter 5 right now btw, but I've been avoiding the story stuff for the most part in favor of just exploring, doing side stories, sujimon, etc. My next goal is to go to the
orphanage
.

Yeah, I voiced my skepticism (here or not, I don't remember) about the project, especially after seeing some of those early returns, but most all evidence recently points to Bloober having done a really nice job. So, I'll definitely be picking it up eventually. SH2 is one of my all-time favorites.

This week I finished up Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It was a good FPS romp with some fine atmosphere, levels and shooting action. I don't think I'm going to jump straight into REALRTCW having just played the vanilla game though. It was fun, but the genre isn't one I like to binge.

I'm also still playing Legend Bowl. I finally lost in the playoffs in my 4th season - my first on Legend difficulty. (the highest) I lost a shootout to the Eagles 44-41. I started up season five and my sixth game of this season was against those same Eagles (who lost to the Texans in Super (Legend?) Bowl IV) who I got some sweet revenge against in a 47-7 thrashing. I'm 6-0 in year 5, and I feel like I've got a taste for the trophy on the toughest challenge. Imma do it this year! The only problem is that if I win on the toughest difficulty I'll feel like I've run out of challenge and a reason to keep going - other than chasing all-time career records I guess, but I couldn't stomach such a lengthy stretch of play without some real challenge. I'm already right about 100 hours in, and it's been a great game of pigskin, even if I wish there were some things it could have improved upon. I'll probably go into more depth in year-end reviews.

So, assuming I bring home the hardware this season, I'll need to start looking for what's next on the gaming plate. The possibilities are endless. :P

I wish I would have done the Sujimon stuff earlier in order to really put some time into that job to see if it's any good. But hey, I also get sidetracked with a lot of the stuff so you're in good company. :P

Finished: Nothing

Now Playing: Layton's Mystery Journey (3DS)

I got the sujimon job last night, so now I fully get what you're saying. ;) Well, I should say I *unlocked* the job, but I haven't gotten to the point in the story yet where I can change jobs. I really need to push forward a little more the next time I play - I'm just very easily distracted. :P

Wow, now I'm really looking forward to playing Infinite Wealth.

Played recently: Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Finished: nothing

Added to backlog: nothing

Current backlog: 46

I'm still enjoying PoP, but it's not quite the 5-star experience it seemed like, at least for me. I've found myself totally lost a few times as far as where to go and what to do, and there have also been some very annoying platforming sections -- some of which require a power I hadn't gained, unbeknownst to me -- and one boss fight that had me pulling out what little hair remains atop my head. We'll see how things wrap up.
