Games added: Animal Well, Halls of Torment

Last week: Finished nothing, played Infinite Wealth, Halls of Torment, & Vampire Survivors

This week: Same.

Still focussing on side stuff in Infinite Wealth right now - last thing I did last night was open up the
dating app
side activity. Finally bit on Halls of Torment, and it's good but I can't decide yet if it's as good as Vampire Survivors, to me at least. Granted, I know I have to give it more time because VS took a bit to open up, but I will say I prefer the aesthetic and music of VS to HoT. I have 3 characters to choose from in HoT right now, and I like the way you open equipment by sending it back up. I'll put some more time into it this week.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed looks promising, I'm keeping an eye on it.

I've been meaning to get back to HoT since they released 1.0. I'll be curious to hear how it compares for you after you've played some more. I've had VS in my backlog, but for whatever reason I just fired up HoT first.

Well, I just unlocked the flamethrower guy and used him to decimate the first boss.

Finished: PowerWash Simulator: Shrek DLC

Now Playing: Layton's Mystery Journey (3DS)

Added to Backlog: PowerWash Simulator: Shrek DLC

Current Backlog: 43 games

The Shrek DLC was pretty fun - I swear that fairy godmother potion factory had to take me 3-4 hours to clean.

Second boss down in Halls of Torment, third level unlocked. The flamethrower guy is a beast.

Also, that TMNT game that's coming out this week isn't the one I am interested in. How many Turtles games are they releasing?? The one I'm interested in is called Splintered Fate; it's a roguelike that looks promising.

That is amazing!

Played recently: Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Finished: nothing

Added to backlog: nothing

Current backlog: 46

I'm pretty deep into PoP, lots of story beats, areas and bosses under my belt. I really like it a lot, but man some of the platforming has taken me to the limits of my old man abilities. I've seen this message several times: "You really suck at this. You know you can turn on platform assist under the disabled/bum settings."

Oh that is goddamn delightful and it's purple! I would totally rock that

It's been a week y'all...month...year. Anyway, hope all's well!

Played: Tried to play Unpacking, the kiddo's current fave, and it's no longer on PS...whatever tier I am at. Which absolutely sucked. We ended up buying MVC Collection to play that together instead which just didn't feel like Unpacking so it didn't land like I'd hoped. Other than that, time is slowly coming back at night so I played Punisher, Ys 8 and a bit of Skygunner. And Steam Deck has been Mad Max, MM Battle Network 2 (that ending to 1 means I have to see this through) and DBZ Xenoverse because everyone won't shut up about Sparking Zero and...it's kinda dumb? In a bad way...but fun? I can't explain it, it's a great small burst game for the commute. I made a giant, swole Piccolo ripoff and named him Contrabassoon. SMT 3 continues to flummox me, I am going to have to use a guide for this one part at this point and it still isn't making sense to me. It's my own fault, once I get past this bit, I'll be way more careful about my dungeon exploration and puzzle solving.

I haven't made any real progress in any of these bar one...but it's fun to actually be playing things again!

Bought: MVC Collection

Beat: Punisher. Great, solid beat em up!

This week: Probably more of the same? I kinda just want to find something like Ys 9 to curl up with on the couch for like an hour a night. You know, something low key, inconsequential but looks flashy and sounds good, doesn't require much thought or attention so I can chat with the wife while she's crafting in the basement and I am gaming. I kinda want to see if Megaton Musashi Wired fits the bill as well but I don't know if the motherboard programming might require more thought than I am willing to put in. If there's an auto option for that, I might finally try to get into that one since I have been been chomping at the bit to get to that one!
