The first check-in here was by argyle on Jan. 6, 2018. It followed the demise of the other board.
He was playing Fallout 4, I had just finished Horizon Zero Dawn, Phase was having mixed feelings about Agents of Mayhem, and the rest of you didn't mention what you were playing.

Here's to 400 more!
Wow, what a blast from the past! It looks like I was clueless as to what was going on, ha. It's amazing that our little community has persisted for so many years, even prior to the migration to this board. Hope we can keep it going, however (in)frequent.
I noticed it had been a while since anyone posted and I was starting to think, "welp, I guess imma have ta do it muhself."
I knocked out a couple of shorter games since last posting. I have just been drowning in OOTP and Inferno Climber and just needed that break. I played Heaven Dust, which is an indie RE clone. That was decent and surely a strong copycat. It didn't have the production values, but the basics were good enough.
I also played, finished and am still playing in post-game a title called The Wild Eternal. I bought it years ago (don't remember what I paid), and when I checked the store page before I downloaded, I saw that it was now free. Well, you win some, you lose some.

But, I'm not bothered because it has been a VERY good experience. It deals with the mystical journey that is life, and tries to address all those unanswerable but endlessly thought-provoking questions that confront us all. And it's such a mellow and wonderful game of exploration in a beautiful world. If you are drawn to slower, more contemplative and beautiful, stress-free experiences, I highly recommend it. (Not sure about platform availability, but I'd guess it's PC only.)
Anyway, I needed a break because gol-dang, whoever designed Inferno Climber is a real bastard, or I'm just more than a little thick. Probably a little of A and a little of B, ha. I just CANNOT find my way forward in terms of navigating. I'm in a castle/dungeon and I have a number of keys for doors that I cannot find, but there are doors I CAN FIND, yet can not find matching keys ANYWHERE. If I wasn't enjoying it so much otherwise, I'd be really annoyed, but ultimately I'm just a bit drained by my adventure. I still don't have any plans to try and look up what I'm missing because I AM really having fun overall.
