Played recently: Borderlands 4

Finished: nothing

Added to backlog: nothing

I'm ehjoying Borderlands 4 so far. It's less annoying than B3 and has a new planet that's pretty different from Pandora and more open/fun to explore. The storyline gets its hooks in you early on, and the shooting/looting is great, as always.

Games added: Nothing

Last week: Finished nothing, played RE7 & Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

This week: More DRGS & Dying Light: The Beast

So I remembered why I quit RE7 the first time - it leans HARD into the "hide and seek" style gameplay that I loathe in a survival horror game. So I pivoted to a Gamepass game, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor. It's a Vampire Survivors-like, decent and mindless enough. I have some issues, but it's...fine. I cashed in my Microsoft points & grabbed Dying Light: The Beast last night for free. Fun so far, tho I've really just cleared the intro/tutorial stuff. It's supposed to be a return to form after the not-so-great second game, so we'll see.

Glad to see Hades II finally getting an official release - I try not to do the paid Beta test stuff. I'll grab it at some point once it comes out physically.

That breast milk slide, lol!

I'm still just playing OOTP towards the end of the 4th season of the USBL. My team has had a tendency to collapse in the last month of the season for the past 3 seasons despite playing good ball up to that point, and IT IS INFURIATING!!!! No idea what to do to fix THAT! The game formula clearly hates me though. This season I've got a top-5 starting rotation, the number 1 bullpen, the 2nd or 3rd most efficient defensive rating, and have given up THE FEWEST runs in the league, and the game said, "Fine, see how you like not scoring... like AT ALL." I had a 10 game stretch where I scored a TOTAL of 15 runs. My upper 3rd offense just went into total hibernation, and I lost my division lead and the wild-card isn't a realistic possibility. I'm still only a game out of the division lead despite the frozen bats, but man does it hurt to watch things erode when you can't do anything about it! Oh, and pitching injuries have also started to pile up at the conclusion of this offensive collapse. The baseball gods DESPISE me, apparently.

I'm also still playing The Wild Eternal and desperately looking for ways to unlock some sealed mysteries. This has been such a wonderful and slow-paced exploration game, both in terms of exploring beautiful environments as well as the exploration of existential elements of being.

I haven't put down Inferno Climber, but I needed a break after struggling to make progress and spinning my wheels for longer than I wanted. I'll get back into it pretty soon.

...ok, so I never took my PS5 out of the box. Should I just sell it at this point? Clearly I have barely any time to play anyway and everything I want to play is STILL on PS4 5 years after this thing came out.

Mortal Kombat Kollection? Check.

Final Fantasy Tactics? Check.

Inazuma 11 (Search it up, this show is HILARIOUS)? Check.

Yakuza 3 Kiwami Plus a Mine Gaiden? OF COURSE!

There's like that Digimon game but Steam Deck exists where I will probably play it years from now for $3. Hell, Spiderman 2 and R&C Rift Apart are in my Steam Deck wishlist! I am so confused as to why I have this thing...

Oh but this post is mostly because there's a Yakuza 3 Kiwami coming out next year where instead of taking out the orphanage stuff that everyone whines about killing the pacing (uncultured miscreants), they beefed it up so Kazuma can dad even ******* harder and I cannot wait!

Oh and Jewish holiday where I finished my work, housework, kid's homework, the babies are at day care and the wife is out of town is why I am posting at 1:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. It takes a lot for that to happen you know :P .

I mean, the PS5 will probably just be more expensive if you sold it now and bought later...

And yes, Kiwami 3!!!!

Also, Playstation State of Play had some Wolverine action.

It also had an announcement of a Dynasty Warriors 3 remaster - didn't see that one coming, but I'll definitely take it, that was one of my favorites in the series.

So is anyone besides J & myself picking up Yokai next week? Wondering if we can dust off the 'ol "book club"? :)
